BEML Donates a Van to Akshaya Patra’s Mid-day Meal Programme

As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Bengaluru-based heavy equipment manufacturer, Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) donated a meal delivery vehicle to The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF). The mid-day meal delivery van is insulated to maintain optimal temperature, which keeps food warm and fresh.

It was inaugurated at the ISKCON temple premises, Rajajinagar, in the presence of Shri Madhu Pandit Dasa, Chairman, TAPF, and Shri P. Dwarakanath, Chairman and Managing Director, BEML.

This meal delivery vehicle donation by BEML will equip Akshaya Patra’s Bengaluru unit to deliver nutritious meals to about 4,000 children each day.
