We’ve reached the end of 2013 and The Akshaya Patra Foundation is proud to say that we have a presence in 20 locations across nine states, with the most recent kitchen in Surat being opened.
We are tremendously proud of where we have reached, and we know that we could never have come this far without the kind words, gentle encouragement, along with the time and money spent by our generous donors.
Whether you have helped out monetarily, or by lending us some of your time for volunteer work, or by spreading awareness of the good work Akshaya Patra is trying to do, we owe you a huge debt of gratitude. From every Like and Share from our Facebook wall, and from every one of you who participated in our workshops and meets, we drew inspiration and strength to carry on.
As the New Year approaches, Akshaya Patra has set its sight on the horizon once again. Though we would love to rid this beautiful country of all its poverty and hunger in one swoop, we must tread carefully to make sure this is a sustainable process that will pass the test of time. Give us your opinions on where you think The Akshaya Patra Organisation should turn its attention to for its next kitchen, to bring food for education to the bellies of those who most desperately need it.
